Karen Ramirez started dancing at an early age while in Honduras at a local school, competing with other neighboring schools.
Later, she moved to California, and she continued to dance while in high school. After graduating from high school, she enrolled at Orange Coast College and Golden West College, where she studied jazz, Middle Eastern Dance, history, and appreciation of dance and salsa. She continued her studies in Bellydance with Angelika Nemeth, where she performed during different school concerts and local events. She started teaching privately in 2001 and lasted until 2009. She loved to dance and, in 2001, also started dancing Zumba. In 2023, she reinstated her Zumba certification and began teaching again at different Houston Studios. Her passion for dance has continued during her lifetime.
